this year IEBattleGrounds is proud to annouce the return of the Ranking Battle Season!
New Venue, New Season, New Rules, New Game, Same Hardcore Competition!
this year the RanBat season will be taking place at James Games Arcade in Upland CA,
and will feature the following games:
Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 & Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012
RULES:
all games will be double elimination
if there is a pause during a match the players may work it out
if players cannot come to a agreement the judge will make the final call
judges call is final!
Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 RULES:
sets will be best 3 out of 5 games
timer will be set at 99 seconds.
if there is a draw game you will replay the exact same match until there is a winner
winner cannot change characters nor assist types
loser may switch characters
you may also blind select your opponent
grand finals will be a best 3 of 5 games
the player coming from losers side must reset the bracket to take the tournament
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012 RULES:
sets will be best 2 of 3 rounds & 2 of 3 games
timer will be set at 99 seconds
if there is a draw game you will play the exact same match until there is a winner
winner cannot change characters but is able to change ultras.
loser may switch characters
you may also blind pick your opponent on character selection but not ultras
grand finals will be a best 3 of 5 set
the player coming from losers will need to reset the bracket to take the tournament
CONSOLE:
xbox 360
CONTROLLER / JOYSTICKS:
this is a BYOC (bring your own controller) event
wireless controllers are BANNED
you may use a play and charge kit
POT / SEASON POT:
the pot will be split 70%, 20%, 10% For 1st, 2nd & 3rd. at each RanBat
through out the season $1.00 of each entree fee will go towards the respective season pot.
at the season finale the player with the most points will win the respective season pot
REGISTRATION:
registration opens at 4PM
tournaments begins at 6PM for All games
venue: $5.00
buy-In: $5.00 per game
no spectator fee
onsite registration only
SEASON POINT SYSTEM:
points will be awarded as follows
1st = 9 Points
2nd = 7 Points
3rd = 5 Points
4th = 3 Points
5th = 1 Point
PLAYER SEEDING:
RanBat 3.1 will be a randomly generated bracket for UMvC3 & SSF4AE2012
after 3.1 only the top 3 scorers from each respective game will maintain seeding
